I am still here. Needing to look up, look out, widen my eyes and take in a periphery.

It’s been thirteen months since the birth of my son.

It has been glorious, mesmerizing, intoxicating to be filled with nothing but the smell and taste of your children.

I feel drugged.

I feel full.

Now it is time to look up, look out, widen my eyes and take in a periphery.

I don’t have much, as I stumble out, weak and logy, but one glance at something out and up to share, to see Rome again before we leave, to remember this place that gave me a boy and helped to grow my girl.

My Rome.

For we are turning around. We are moving again. Back to the red dirt of Uganda.

  12. Great to hear from you. Was wondering if u and your family were alright. As you circumnavigate your journey’s circle, you arrive at your beginning, the nourishing red dirt soil. At this point in time, God only knows that Uganda needs an infusion of sanity and humanity/womanity. May your family’s presence, your husband’s good work, and your children’s continued
growth fertilize that red soil. In return may you and yours reap a harvest of germinating growth and fulfillment.

    1. As always to you, thank you. I am very excited for the new adventure.

  13. Good to hear from you! I was just thinking the other day that I hadn’t seen any new entries since I signed up. You have a beautiful & poetic way of sharing your thoughts & feelings. Glad life is going so well for you.

Puddle jumping, when was the last time…
Nice to share these memories with the world and remind us of what we can do still today and of what we did yesterday. Your little treasures will inherit the same explorations. Life should be playful.
Your literary skills are wonderful, wish I could say the same for mine.

    Do you keep a journal?

    1. Thank you so much, James. This is my journal.
