Tueday's troubles and tenderness

We are not in lockdown again, but our faces must be covered once more starting tomorrow in BC. Our hidden faces are what led me to my portrait painting. I wanted to scatter my walls with them, make friends with them, see faces again. So now we cover once more, and now I have my faces. Cases climbing, hospitals filling....

...and here we go again and again and again.

Smoke was in the air yesterday from a nearby burning. My lungs and eyes stung. But the tide was low and the beach offered its bounty.

No matter how many we find, each one brings me so much joy.

There is so much joy to find.

I call this piece, Winter.

Thank you, my friend… for always highlighting beauty when so many others decide to share the opposite. You’re forever a breath of fresh air.
